A Call from Lift
About a week ago, a friend from the non-profit organization, Lift, reached out to me. They had an exciting opportunity on the horizon: filming a brief interview with the renowned musician, Ben Harper, a two-time Grammy winner. The catch? It would be during his performance at the Life is Good Festival.
Recommending the Right Talent
Knowing the importance of the task, I immediately thought of friend and my former roommate, Joe Gaetani. Joe runs Rightside Productions based in Burlington, VT, and has a knack for capturing moments perfectly on film. I was confident he was the right person for the job and recommended him without hesitation.
Behind the Scenes at the Festival
Last Saturday, I decided to join Joe and the team in Boston for the festival. While my main intention was to assist and capture some photographs, the chance to enjoy a free concert was a delightful bonus. The day was a whirlwind. Amidst the hustle of coordinating with Ben’s tight schedule, Joe and the Lift team managed to secure the footage they needed during a brief drive between Ben’s hotel and the festival venue.
Capturing the Performance
Below are some highlights from Ben Harper & the Relentless 7’s performance, which headlined the festival’s first day. The energy was electric, and the crowd was completely engrossed in the music.
