Earlier this month, Burlington’s music and snowboard communities rallied after a devastating fire gutted an apartment building on North Avenue, leaving DJ Andy “A-Dog” Williams among those who lost everything.
On May 5th, a benefit concert at Higher Ground pulled friends, fans, and sponsors together to support A-Dog. Brands like Burton, Red Bull, and Magic Hat Brewery stacked the night with raffle prizes and swag, while local DJs and musicians filled the stage with sound.
I was there with my camera, documenting a night that was equal parts fundraiser and celebration of resilience. The images from that evening were later featured on the website of East Coast Snowboarding Magazine, highlighting the way snow, skate, and music cultures overlap in Burlington.

It was a reminder of what community looks like: when one of our own was down, everyone showed up.
