In October of last year, I arranged a shoot with Justin Schroth and Adam Jaber to capture some photographs of a particularly challenging mountain bike feature. The idea for this shoot came to me weeks earlier during a group ride that began at The White Barn Farm. As we navigated the trails that night, illuminated only by our headlamps, I saw Justin and a few others send it down an impressive granite roller feature. It was pretty awesome to watch, even in the limited light, and I knew I’d want to return in daylight to get some shots of that feature.
Adam Jaber, known for creating Out of Collective, an outlet dedicated to the outdoor industry, and Justin Schroth, who is a videographer that also runs a Massachusetts-specific Mountain Bike Lifestyle Brand called “MTBMA,” were seemingly up for the challenge and ask of repeatedly sneding it down the rock face, allowing me to capture a multitude of angles.
The two were great to work with and we down to keep riding as long as I needed, despite the consequences of what would occur if either fell. Justin, a videographer as well, set up some static cameras to capture video of the shoot as well.
