Catching a Red Sox vs. Yankees game at Fenway Park is a dream come true for many baseball fans. Living close to Boston, I’ve had the chance to enjoy that experience more than once. This time, though, was extra special.
Recently, I headed to Fenway with Jess, Callan, and Wyatt to see the Sox take on the Yankees. That matchup is always worth the trip, but what really made this day stand out was seeing my cousins, “The Dempsey Sisters,” perform the national anthem before the game.
The moment you step out onto Yawkey Way—now known as Jersey Street—the energy is palpable. Fenway Park has a unique way of drawing you in. The smell of Fenway Franks, the sound of fans chanting, and the sight of the Green Monster towering over left field—it’s a baseball experience like no other.
Fenway Park never disappoints.
As we settled into our seats, the anticipation for the game was high, but even more so for the pre-game festivities. My cousins took the field to sing the national anthem. Seeing them perform on such a big stage, in front of thousands of fans, was a memory the boys won’t soon forget.
There’s always something magical about a day at Fenway Park during a Red Sox vs. Yankees game. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Until next time, go Sox!
